I’ve come to really enjoy the travel to a wedding. It gives me time to meditate on life, be inspired by the scenery around me and most importantly reflect on the couple I’m about to photograph. I focus on who they are, send positive thoughts an prayers and empty my own stresses and burdens from my mind so I can completely focus on them.
When I walked into Meeghan’s moms house for getting ready photos, it was such a calm and chill atmosphere, a girl after my own heart. Meeghan and her mom’s relationship reminded me so much of my mother and I. One of my most favorite bonds in the world. If you are planning your own wedding and are considering locations to get ready – my best advice is choose a location that puts you at ease and if it has an emotional connection to you – huge bonus! It really does inspire a peaceful mood on what can be a stressful day. 🙂
The dynamic between Meeghan and Sam is so special! The respect and love they have for each other is first and foremost and the banter between them is intelligent and funny! They are both extremely bright and down to earth people and I looked forward to every time I had a chance to chat or see them.
Belhurst is a crazy beautiful backdrop for a wedding, not only the venue itself but the scenery around it. Oh my heart!! The day had it all, thoughtfulness, love, romance, humor, excitement… you name it. I know this blog post is late (I’ll post about why I’m a year late in another post) but I hope you enjoy these images every bit as much as I did taking them!
