These two traveled to meet me on a beautiful summer morning for their Sunken Garden engagement session. We packed so much into our time together and Rachael & Josh were up for anything!
After emails and calls, I loved getting to meet these two in person before their wedding next year at John Joseph Inn! One of my favorite venues in the Finger Lakes. This has been an exciting and busy year for these two with much to celebrate. A graduation, a new career, and a move not to mention planning a wedding. Even with all these new adventures I was struck by how light-hearted and in the moment you two were willing to be. You both radiate joy, especially when in each other’s arms and it was so special to photograph!

Things to consider when choosing the Sunken Garden
The Sunken Gardens is a beautiful location for photos! Because it is such a unique place, it is well-loved and visited by the community. It can often be busy with both visitors and other groups taking photos. If you want the whole location to yourselves, you can reserve an hour’s time slot. I would highly recommend reserving a time if you’re visiting on the weekend or if you’re choosing this location for your wedding photos and want to guarantee the use of the property. We planned our session on a weekday morning and were prepared to share and wait for all those amazing spots! Plan to change in your car if you’re bringing more than one outfit, there are no public restrooms available.
